Why summer is so demanding on your hair

The hair cuticle is a protective layer made of overlapping scales. When it functions properly, it’s smooth, reflects light, and retains moisture inside. When repeatedly exposed to UV rays, salt, and chlorine, it lifts, opens up, and the hair begins to lose keratin and hydration. This is what causes the dryness and dullness often attributed generically to “summer.”

The scalp is affected as well: sun exposure alters sebum balance, salt dehydrates, and the result is often a feeling of tightness or itching after every swim. Using targeted products is not a luxury, it’s the only way to avoid starting autumn with hair that needs to be rebuilt from scratch.

An after-sun conditioning treatment that detangles, softens, and restores shine. Apply after shampooing, leave on for 2–3 minutes, then rinse. During this time, active ingredients work on the lifted cuticle, helping to smooth and compact it. The effect is immediate: hair becomes manageable again, no longer rough to the touch. 250 ml.

Virtuous Sun Hair Spray: the step that changes everything
This is the step many skip and the one that makes the biggest difference. The spray is not a finishing product: it’s a leave-in treatment with antioxidant, conditioning, and anti-frizz action, to be used before, during, and after sun exposure. Lightweight, non-greasy, and does not weigh hair down. Spray directly onto dry or damp hair. 100 ml.

Top notes of orange, petitgrain, and sea salt. Heart notes of lavender, Java vetiver, and Atlas cedar. Base notes of amyris, patchouli, and sandalwood.
